"Morning Mist at Snoqualmie Falls"
This is my interpretation of Gary Hamburgh's photograph entitled "Morning Mist at the Falls".
Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington State's most popular scenic attraction. Wikipedia states that at times when the river is so high, it creates an almost blinding spray, it takes on a curtain form. For the Snoqualmie People, the mist rising from the base of the waterfall is said to connect Heaven and Earth.
I'm grateful to my friend, Gary Hamburgh for allowing me to paint from his phenomenal images. www.garyhamburgh.com
Media: Watercolor on 300 lb. Jack Richeson's rough watercolor paper.
