Gig Harbor Sunrise

Gig Harbor Sunrise

Gig Harbor is the name of both a bay on Puget Sound and a city on the shore in Pierce County, Washington.  It is known to be the "Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula" and has become a popular tourist destination with a stunning view of Mt. Rainier.

This is my interpretation of my friend, Gary Hamburgh's wonderful photograph also named Gig Harbor Sunrise.  Thank you so much Gary for encouraging me to paint your amazing images.  Please visit www.garyhamburgh.com to see his work.

Along the Delaware Water Gap

Now that October is over, the beautiful golden colored leaves will soon be falling to be replaced by winter's snow and ice.

This is a scene Along the Delaware Water Gap in New Jersey where my husband camped as a boy scout at the famous Camp Weygadt.  It's a beautiful area and well worth a visit.
