Rainy Gotham Nocturne

New York is said to be the city that never sleeps.  It is also a city whose citizens are not intimidated by the weather.

It was raining very hard - it was getting colder, the temperature was dropping and the rain was turning to snow.  Even though it was so cold, I knew I had to walk around the city and take photos of the people and wonderful reflections in the streets and sidewalks.  This is my city and no matter what the weather, there is always a New York story to be told.  This is my interpretation of a Manhattan minute.

Who knew this would turn into the Halloween blizzard.

Winter Twilight

I painted "Winter Twilight" in the hope that we will get SOME snow this year.   I look forward to your comments.

Kips Bay Cove, NYC

Kips Bay is a neighborhood in Manhattan between East 23rd Street and East 34th Street extending from Lexington Avenue to the East River.  The building to the right is one of four apartment buildings built on a pier known as Waterside Plaza where I used to live.  It was an extraordinary experience living in the City.
